Superintendent Message

As we close out the 2016-17 school year, I want to thank you, our students and staff, for an incredible year.

Many people, most importantly our families and educators, have supported our high school graduates along their journey from kindergarten to graduation.

Our graduates are leaving us prepared and ready to positively improve our community and enter a career or extend their education

I hope they are also leaving Foothills School Division fulfilled, connected and thriving.

Thank you to our families, our community based partners, all of our staff, and many others who helped our schools and the Division make so many gains and move forward in a positive fashion this year.

If you have a student coming back to Foothills School Division in the fall, we will be working hard over the summer to prepare for a great 2017-18 school year.

Building on this year’s positive relationships and beliefs focus, we look forward to greeting your child on the first day of school, getting to know you better and partnering to ensure your child’s story, strengths, and needs are known and supported in their learning.

I hope you have the opportunity this summer to spend time with your family, friends, and loved ones.  Have a restful and enjoyable summer break

It is a privilege to serve you, your child and this Division.

Warm wishes,

John Bailey

Superintendent of Schools
